happy burfday aun!

2day is jin aun's 21st birthday. happy birthday aun! they say tht 21 years old is the age when u'll get the key to freedom. but how much freedom can we get if we're still studying (tuition fees sponsored by FAMA scholarship) n staying with our family? in my opinion, being 21 years old is only meaningful when u r independent, not asking for allowance from ur parents, staying out n at the same time trying to survive in this ever-so-competitive society. only then being 21 years old has an impact on u. well, i guess...not everybody is destined to have a meaningful 21 years old. a good example would be ME..when i turn 21 next yr, i'll still be studying..frankly, it's not going to be any different from my life now. i shall hav my key to freedom later then..hehe. i don't mind! i have to admit..staying at home n spending my parents' money is very comfortable..worse come to worst..i'll just feel like a useless pig. unfortunately, that is not the way u're supposed to live ur life. n i definitely do not want to feel like a useless pig. =)

i hav no idea wat's wrong with my msn. i can't seem to receive any msgs from ppl. n i cant even send msgs out~! argh...its making me really frustrated...its like im discconnected from the outside world. unable to connect with human beings. so, im really sorry if i didn't reply any of ur msgs k. its not my fault. i cant do anything. i kept signing out and in again. but the problem was still there. im just so fed up with it tht i've decided not to chat with any1 using msn. boycott! but it won't do me any good la...cuz im still disconnected from the outside world!

peanut butter cookies failed

as u can see...yup..the peanut butter cookies weren't tht nice. i hav to say this...it's not a good recipe!..1st of all..i cut down the sugar to half n its still a bit too sweet n the cookies turned out to b quite soft..hmm...luckily i didnt make much so hopefully my 2 big fat bros can finish them up for me la..haha.

i cooked "fu chok yi mai" today too. n it was reli nice! although its more like "just yi mai" cuz the fu chok was a bit too little. my popo took it without telling me to cook wif vege yesterday adi. but i added lotus seed n sthn else which i dono its name. haha. n.....i BERJAYA! yay! it was nice! my 1st cooking tong sui...woo hoo....=)

hahahahaha i was laughing so hard at one point my lip cracked. sigh talking nonsense like that actually made me miss bukit jalil. man...mamaking at night after dota banging ser about all kinds of crap. ahh good old days.....hey u guys stopped dota too right? blade of alacrity+cloak of magus=? i couldnt remember. it was such an important part of my life too. spent more time in the cafe then i did in uni or in vista for that matter.

am i not good enough?

well..yes..i don't think im good enough. at least i think my mum thinks so. she just expects the best out of me n she doesn't understand that sometimes, the best is jus a lil hard for me to achieve. my bro's SPM is jus around the corner, n his responsibility has became my responsibility ever since he stepped into form5. my mum has been pestering me to "TEACH ur brother la..." since the beginning of the year. n i DID teach him u know...it's just that he's quite lazy la..that's y it takes a longer time to see his improvement..i really do hope he does well for SPM so our whole family has 1 problem less 2 be concern about. *sigh*

so..guess wat i did today? i was a couch potato for almost 12 hours except going to carrefour with my popo around 4. other than that, i was just sitting on the couch, watching maiden's vow (hongkong drama series) and House MD to conclude my tv-watching-marathon. luckily i didn't snack much. just had some mandarin orange peel, chachos, 1 butter crunch chipsmore n lotsa water. haha. yupyup.

im gonna make peanut butter cookies tmr. i found the recipe in The Star. it was in a holiday timetable for kids section. well..as u can guess, the recipe is superduperly easy. *i love easy recipes. u dun hav to spend much effort looking for hard-to-find or expensive ingredients n u spend less time making the oh-so-delicious food.* let me share the recipe with u..hehe. 1 cup peanut buttter, 1 cup sugar, 1 egg and 1 teaspoon baking soda. so 1st, u mix the peanut butter n sugar, then add in egg n baking soda. let it stand for 10 mins. then, make it into watever shape u wan. bake at 170 degree celcius until the sides r golden brown. do not overbake it k! so i'll let u guys know if my cookies turn out ok tmr...=)

the one and only reason that im starting a blog is bcuz i want to remember this special day - Nov 9 2006. im not trying to exaggerate here, but i really had a great time yesterday. the fun started from the beginning of the day (n i really mean beginning=12am) all the way till the end (11.59pm). i just feel like i have to write it down somewhere to let my family, frens n bf know how much i appreciate their company, wishes, gifts n SURPRISES! n where's the best place to write it n post some pics.....a blog!..haha.

ok..b4 i continue telling u guys how i spent the day..let me list down the ppl who wished me thru sms..hehe..here goes..roshida, jing mein, mei tien, khek tjian, pei fong (my blur hsemate), yee shen, khang wern, wei meng, yuan yuan, ming ying (my other blur hsemate), hui ying, titus, phek joo (my lab partner), jiu mu (my aunt), jin werne, yannee, yun kei, sin yee, hui hoon, pastor nirhal, lee yee (my aunt), yee wern (all the way from aussie!!), shiau sang (who claimed that she wants to b special by being the last to wish me). n of course there r ppl who wished me personally-my family, jin aun, karen, roshida, claudia, li ping, yun kei, yen li. n ppl who wished me thru bday cards-joachim. i hope i didnt miss out anyone.*blek*thx for all ur wishes!!=)

ok..my day started off by ppl smsing me n wishing me. n b4 i went to my comfy bed, suddenly something struck me. it was like my lightbulb lighted up. i decided to come up with a dresscode n it all bcuz roshida asked me "wat u're wearing tmr?". i msged karen n roshida to inform them abt my bday dresscode- classsy! (jeans + heels) so that we would feel like taking a break off shopping at the same time (which we did..had 2 breaks- gelato n juiceworks). sorry gurls if the heels were killing u but i hav to say..we looked great!haha..we went to TJ Haus for lunch, which is in SS18. great place n nice food! there's when i got my bday prez from ren-a summer dress. my 1st summer dress..i really like it. i wanted one all these while, it's just that i dono where to wear it to. n now i actually got 1 as a prez, i can wear it whenever i want. haha. after lunch, we proceeded to 1u for...shopping!

wait....tht's not the end. i had dinner with my family in TGI Friday's subang parade. the food was "mmmmm" delicious. u guys should try the jack daniel's steak n the bruchetta. at the end of the meal, i had the stand-up-on-the-chair, make-a-speech, blow-the-candles-without-bending-down tradition. the friday's ppl were super funny la. they had 2 versions of the happy birthday song-short n backwards. i chose backwards..hehe. n they all turned their backs facing me n sang happy birthday. so funny!!haha.

after dinner, jin aun came n surprised me while i was walking out of a toilet in s.parade. haha...he came all the way from seremban n drove back at the end of the day. it was really sweet of him. didnt expect it all, so i was totally surprised! thx so much, jin aun! when i came home, i saw a bouquet of flowers on my table. n there was a card, written by Gan Sin Tien, kononnya my secret admirer who has been noticing me for many yrs. i was totally freaked out aft i read the card n i ran downstairs to show jin aun. i was like "oh no, who is this. y so scary 1?" n i kept making jin aun swear that it's not 1 of his tricks again. u gurls reli tricked me man...GAN yannee, chai SIN yee n lee mei TIEN!!!!haha...

n jus now, like a few mins ago, li ping n yun kei dropped by to pass me prez. they went to the wrong hse..haha...so funny..anyway, they (jing mein too) got me a hair mask! yay! thx a lot! i almost wanted to buy a hair mask from sasa last week k! i'll rajin do hair mask n u gurls shall witness my beautiful n healthy hair soon..haha..

so i think tht's bout it. a memorable birthday. a day when i feel like i have the bestest family members, bf n frens with me (which i really have!). n tht i should appreciate them a whole lot more. =)
