last post of 2007

these last few days of year 2007, i've been occupying myself by watching "Dicey Business"...a HK drama bout gambling....good drama!!.....whilst waiting for the day tht i'll leave to london...which is TMR!!

yupyup..i'll b spending NY'S eve in London....meeting up with khai gene, yuh huey (my gym kaki's) & arivind......meeting up with shiau sang too, on the 1st....then i'll b going to Manchester on the 2nd, crashing at Wen Hoi's place......will b back on the 4th.....

tht's my one n only xmas holiday trip.....there r ppl who said tht it doesnt sound like us to travel for such a short while this holiday bcuz we travelled for 18 freaakkinng loooonnggg days last holiday.....well...i've to say tht we're quite phobia of travelling for long periods adi la....hehe....hence the short hol trip this time....

we had a slumber party on thursday....a quiet one tho....besides the karaoke-ing session....

no pillow fights, no girl talks....

it was just to SS n wear the PJs i bot for the 1st time...hehe..sort of like an opening ceremony...

n then the next day, Boon Ching came.....li ping's *ehem* friend.....all the way from US k....

we went to China Bleu for dinner....the food there wasnt nice la.....Asia style so much nicer....altho i heard tht the chef of China Bleu is a Msian....i wouldnt recommend it.....

BC bot us souvenirs......from london *alamak*...bcuz his baggage was stuck in Manc...so he didnt get to give us souvenirs from US.....neway, tq BC!!


back home, we surprised BC with a chocolate cake....


n we had chocolate fondue.....i accidentally spilled chocolate on kah yie...n i couldnt help myself but to lick the choc off her hand...haha....kah yie had no choice but to let me lick la...i didnt even ask her whether i could do tht onot....sorry ya kah yie, if my saliva was smelly....hahahaha...

aiyo..all these foods, chocolate, cakes, SENSATIONS....are making me fat.....gym is closed.....haihz...

next sem must rajin rajin go gym adi.....

woohoo!!! 2008 is here!!! which means im going home in 6 mths....yippie~~~

christmas and boxing day

CHRISTMAS IS HERE!!! HO HO HO.....

christmas is the time for joy, laughter, turkey, prezzies n .............christmas cards!!!

we Rumah SS sent out xmas cards to a few of the JBC houses 2 days b4 xmas...wishing every1 a merry merry christmas n happy happy new year....

we received a few xmas cards from other ppl too...=) u c u c...P105 ppl are so loving n caring la....haha...

on the day of christmas, we had an almost-traditional xmas dinner....n the star of the dinner was the TURKEY!! (yannee's baby....she talked n massaged it the whole aftnoon...salute!)


with the help of everyone in J5 + kah yie....it turned out like this....

so superduperly yummy ok.....but our tummy couldnt take it anymore in the end eventho we dint even manage to finish half the turkey....(aiyo..have to eat turkey for the next few days adi..)

yupyup..i had dimsum again....

this time it was in glasgow itself...erm..in a chinese restaurant called "long feng"...which means dragon n pheonix...dono it's english name tho...hehe..it's at the end of sauchiehall st..

of course i wouldnt miss ordering my fav food, chee cheong fun....king prawn n char siew....eat it with chilli.....awwww....heaven on earth!!


n more dim sum..."lo mai fan", char siew pau, "ha gao",siew mai...got chicken leg oso....


aiyo...but nuthin can beat msian's dim sum la....hmm..the 1 in Taman Megah is still my favourite....Sri Petaling 1 oso not bad.....n the chee cheong fun in kwai sun opp my hse is the best!!

btw, i'll b going to London on the 31st, then manchester on the 2nd-4th....haha....yay yay!! more chinese food..slurp!! n NY countdown celebration near the London Eye....fuiyoh! u Msian folks out there, jangan jelez ya....*ngek ngek*

working almost 12 hrs straight is a totally leg-breaking experience...

no joke....i have a feeling tht the sole of my feet is gonna break into half anytime soon...SAVE ME!!

thank god i've got no jobs during the weekend...i need a good rest....=)

btw, it's "dong zi" tmr....the "tang yuan" festival....im sure popo will be making "tang yuan" for the family..n she's probably gonna cook some yummy food bcuz we sorta have a reunion dinner during this festival...sob sob.....im gonna miss tht!!

auntie sharon (my mum's sis in UK) has been asking me whether i've received her xmas card since the last couple of days...

yay!! i received it this morning...when i opened it up, it was this cute card with a reindeer's face on it.....SUPER CUTE LA!!


n inside the card is a Marks & Spencer gift card!! woo00ooo.....

she credited some money into the card so tht i could get anything i want from M&S...

this is a really good idea la...sending ppl gift cards....

n tht day mein was jus saying we shd do tht for CNY too instead of angpau...but im sure there r SOME ppl out there who will b totally against gift cards bcuz they prefer cash instead...so tht they could go n spend them all in Uncle Lim's casino.....dsshh!!

it's holiday season now...n i have to tell u..im so in a holiday mood...i can just sit down the whole day in front of the laptop watching drama...currently watching "land of wealth"...good show good show..must watch!

but the hardest is yet to come...semester 8...which is my final semester...=(....noo0oo..i shd b =)...bcuz which means tht im gonna graduate soon...n i get to go home!!

mein's fren - Ben from newcastle..n his frens..came to glasgow for holiday n we met up with them for dinner on Monday...

we brought them to the nicest place to eat in glasgow - Asia Style...hehe....(yup..it's our 2nd time in a mth..)


they really liked the food there too bcuz it reminded them of Msian food...we ordered 6 dishes..yummy yum...n bcuz the wheat prawn balls were so delicious the last time we ordered them again this time...(oohhh no..i dun have pics of the food..sob)

then we brought the guys to George Square...cuz it's the most Christmasy place in Glasgow....we stayed there for less than half an hr bcuz it was FREAKING COLD tht nite...-3 or -4 degrees...crazzeee...beh tahan la....

n the next day, we went out with them again for dinner....

but b4 tht, we had our own IMCC performance by the most camwhorish guy in the gang - Ben ..check out his fake lips...sexay~~

i actually forgot to tell jin aunty tht i went out with these bunch of guys...but luckily he dint naik marah...haha...n he actually said "good ar...at least u get to hang out with some guys.....not sien 1 meh, everytime hang out with girls..."....

hmm...*analyse analyse*.....is he being really nice to me or is he trying to hint to me tht he wants to hang out with girls? (which he said he hasnt hang out with any ever since i left...u belif him onot??)....aiyo aun...i wun stop u from hanging out with girls 1 la....i trust u k...hehe....

notice sthn different bout me?? i got a haircut! hahaha...

my hair is really too long la..i desperately need to cut my hair adi...

so i went to Savoy shopping centre (a shopping centre tht looks like sungei wang bcuz of its low ceiling n small shops..)..bcuz i heard tht there's a chinese saloon there tht cuts female's hair for 10 pounds....

it's the cheapest so far from wat i heard of...cuz others r like 19/20 pounds...gila babi...haircut in UK is really exp....

just a warning to guys.....u pay for wat u get..haha...the hairdresser was not tht pro i have to say..in fact i was quite nervous by the way how she started cutting my hair.....she actually cut an inch of my hair AROUND the ends 1st....literally, ONE ROUND AROUND MY HEAD..(frankly, i've nvr in my life got a haircut like this b4..)

n then she started layering my hair....(which i told her not to layer it too much).....she kept on layering n layering....(in my mind i was thinking...GONE LA!!).....i also told her not to cut my fringe too short bcuz my hair will stand.....n she said ok....but it still turned out to be a lil too short....haihz...

it's ok la overall....if u jus need a trim..u can go there...but if u wana change ur hairstyle..plz plz do not go there.....it's not safe...haha....im quite ok with this haircut la...bcuz i jus wanted it to be shorter....i jus need my fringe to grow longer..fast.....hehe..

nuthin much happen today...stayed at home watched drama the whole day....

abt 9+pm, there was a knock on our door....n there was a bunch of Msian ppl who asked whether they could come in n sing CHRISTMAS CAROLS!! yippie~~~ happening-nya...

they sang a few songs n my bulu roma stood up almost the whole time bcuz they were so nice!! haha...we sang along too~~

pre-exam syndrome

exams r bad for health....seriously~~

- u have mood swings..

- u dun eat well...either u have no appetite, or u snack a lot

- ur butt sticks to the chair most of the time...but half of the time u'll b surfing the net if the comp is in front of u..

- due to all tht, u have constipation

- u can't get enuff sleep

- u're balding....either it's all tht snacks or STRESS (pulls hair)

- pimples..unavoidable....

I have an exam on Monday...3 essays 20 MCQs....

i hate exams...ur brain gets so stuffed with all those info u jus feel like vomiting...if eating the papers can help me get those info into my brain, i'll eat them...

i need my stressball...NOW~~ i just need a hug from u...yet u're so far away.....

ice skating @ George Square

we have decided to go ice skate at George Square on Monday nite bcuz some GUMS (Glasgow Uni Msian Society) members were goin on tht day too...*the more chinese the better so tht the ang mohs wun bully us!! hmph!*

the turn out for GUMS member weren't tht great..but it was ok la..we can SS ourselves...hehe

the 8 of us from Strathclyde Pharmacy....

kah yie, mein n i r not GUMS members..so we dint get the 1 pounds subsidise...newayz, we jus had to pay 5 pounds for 45mins on the skating rink...almost same price as pyramid's 1....

i rmb when i was in my secondary skool, ice skating waso nly rm13 or sthn like tht..unlimited time summo...now i heard tht it's rm30+ for 45mins....walao..increase so much?!??

the floor was rough man!! but it didnt have pools of water like the 1 in pyramid bcuz the temperature was like about 1 degree....-_-

i havent skate for yrs n yrs....luckily i still got some skills in me..haha..not like im very skillful or wat la...i still fell down a few times while holding hands with some of them who were 1st timers....n i fell down once while i skated myself as i was cornering....

falling down was fun!! haha..couldnt stop laughing.....where's the fun in skating if u dun fall n u jus go round n round the rink rite....hehe..yaya..im jus trying to make myself feel better....

the ice on the rink was quite thick...u can actually grab some n make ice balls....throw them at each other, or make ais kacang....=)

there were other stuff @ George Square too...some kiddy rides n food stalls....

so00oo......this is Glasgow winter fest 4 y'all!! n i think it's gonna close down on the 28th...tht's wat i heard from the GUMS president if im not mistaken...n they're gonna prepare for NY celebration after tht....

n as i said im gonna post up pics of the snow....it's not snow la...it's called sleet btw....

but still!!! it's close to snowing k....

we jakun ppl went up to suechoo's hse, 2 floors up to see the sleet bcuz we couldnt see much from the ground floor...they all turn to rain when they almost reach the ground...

in our specs bcuz we were studying for exams in our rooms b4 we got heart attack when nee told us "IT'S SNOWING!!"
