she puts the freshest and meatiest part of the fish on all her grandchildren's plate...n in the middle of the dinner...she'll put more fish on our plates n keeps saying "eat more fish!!"
i get to eat fish almost everyday in Msia....tht's y i grew up to love fish *rather than chicken/pork*...n i could eat a whole fish without "disrupting it's bone structure!"
back home, i took it (eating fish everyday) for granted....n i totally regret now.....ppl here don't really fancy fish i think...i only know one market which sells fresh fishes here and there r not many variety i have to say...*sad*
so, each time we have fish for dinner...it's like getting a taste of home....

same goes to "tong sui"...
we cooked "yi mai fu zhok" tong sui the other day.....one of my favs.....
n again it reminds me of popo's tong sui...
she could make the best tong sui without a recipe...all depending on her "agak agak".....hehe..
dont get what i mean? for example:
me: po...this 1 need to put how much?
po: agak agak lor....

Grandparents are wonderful people to be around; they give without asking anything for return from us. A word of kindness and appreciation would really put a BIG smile on their faces :)
p.s. omega-3 FAs (esp EPA, DHA) abundant in fish is known to lower cardiovascular risk!
